I spent my day here. At the military base hospital -- aka Nazi Concentration Camp.
As I walked into the guarded facility, I was greeted by this sign, "NO CELL PHONES. PERIOD. AMEN. WE WILL WATER TORTURE YOU IF YOU USE ONE." Followed by the fine print of "NO CAMERAS OR RECORDING DEVICES." Then once inside they had a sign on the pole that said "No food or drink of ANY KIND. We will tell you when you are hungry and give you MREs and a canteen." I sat down with my vanilla latte and started to twitter about it on my blackberry and take pics.... Until Indiana Jones put me in my place. And then I was all like - you have a bum knee there Mr. Hopalong Cassidy. And I am driving you around so you better watch it. right then my coffee spilled and my Blackberry went off and the whole place looked at me. I cannot tell you the things I mighta endured, but IJ took me back to the room and saved me from my fate of doom.

Oh...my hubby had an ACL replacement done. It was at that point I realized why women go through childbirth instead of men. Wow, men do not handle pain and healing very well!!
Haha! Its all I can really think to say!
oh, this takes me back to the days that i was there with my torn acl or lac or whatever it's called. military insurance.... i STILL don't understand how insurance works now that i'm in the 'real world', bc of growin up marine style. it should be free. amen. i totally messed up my knee nasty style, and was told 'can you still walk?' and i said, 'uhm.... yeah.' and then the doctor said, 'well, hun, we got active military who are goin' overseas to iraq. so long as you can walk, we're gonna give surgery to them. you'll be fine.' gotta love military. to this day i still limp when it rains.
hopefully since IJ is active, he gets fixed up good!!!!!! (also? it's hilarious to see a grown man sitting on a hospital bench. just sayin.)
I see you pay attention to those signs about as much as I do. ha.
I can totally see you spilling your coffee and takin pictures. I love the picture of IJ looking of in the distance like you are totally embarrassing him by taking pictures HAHAHA. Hope it's nothing major with his knee. Have a great day!!

I love that you are such a rebel!!!
It must, evidently, be a big deal to someone, since they have signs posted everywhere. Gees, they have all their high tech eqiupment, you'd think they could allow a girl her cell phone!
Hehe! I was in a military hospital on a different post in a different state just 2 days ago and I fed my little boy goldfish until they took me back to declare I would live. The closest I get to turning off my cell phone is putting it on vibrate. They are fighting a losing battle!
IJ may be courtmartialed if that photo gets out. haha!
