A Little ''Queen'' Anyone?

So I have a weakness - a big ol' fat weakness. A demon that haunts me in the night. I have fought it my whole life and am still in a battle of wills. Please do not judge me, just accept and love me...but I cannot handle a little competition. Hello, my name is Country Girl and and I cannot take a dare...or a bet...or a betcha can't...or a competition {gasp}. And let's just say my mom has some mad hula hoopin skills...mad I tell you.
And like mother like daughter...do you see these mad skills? At my fave cousin's on the 4th of July celebration, there was a little hula hoopin competition and those three word together made Country Girl lose all control.
We had to get warmed up first, ya know...get the juices flowing. Then I had to talk a little smack to get some fierce competition rounded up.... And then we were off...Just look at the EMT. I was so glad he was there and all...ya know in case I fell in the pool or pulled a gluteus maximus but he was gonna have to go DOWN...
I started talkin a little smack to him...ya know...trying to throw him off his groove....stuff like...so this is a little work out for ya huh...do you all carry guns...so what does emt stand for anyway....just look at your partner over there...they are so makin fun of you.... Then he started to get choked....and then....
dudd.dudd.dut.dut dut...and another one bites the dust...
He started being all whiny and I was all like...Oh ...you poor baby....giggle giggle snort...But I really did not have time to sympathize cause I had to make my walk to the WINNER'S CIRCLE as they played a little Queen...We Are The Champions....Just look how I wore my hoop like a sash...I am so cool like that...and I have no life...And I waved to all the little people and signed some autographs and booked some tours and thanked my mom and my agent...did my walk and all....I lead such a hard life...but now I got free tix to the water park...cause I am a fierce competitor. Anybody wanna piece of this hula hoopin girl? I kid. I kid. Sorta.

You go, girl!
As a teacher, I watched the kiddos hula-hoop on the playground and always got that temptation to try....bad idea! I could never keep it going more than a second. However, one child brought in a hula hoop filled with water. I know, I know. Sounds strange, but miraculously, that helps with the momentum or something. I was a hula hoop queen!! For a minute longer than usual.

Girl, you got me. Nerves of steel baby, you got'em. The idea of people staring at me would completely make me drop it and run.

I truly enjoyed your blog- I love your music and your photography and your trewps are the cutest -except for my grandsons. I loved your quote by Margaret Cavendish. In fact, I wrote it in my gathering journal - thanks for the experience.

Fun post. It brings back my shoop shoop hula hoop days. Mine was green with sparkles. If I would get up off my big butt I bet a little hula hooping would make a few pounds come off my thunder hips.
