Because I always try to be prepared in my life (and because I have no job, thus I am in desperate search of entertainment), I often come up with hypothetical questions to solve. Ya know, that way if I ever do win the lottery (although I have never bought a ticket) or if Extreme Home Makeover does show up on my door (Oh please dear sweet Jesus) or if Jay Leno asks me what celebrity I would like to meet, I will totally be ready. Cause these chances only come once in a lifetime and who wants to waste it by telling Leno that you wanna meet Milli Vanilli cause Blame it on the Rain was stuck in your head at the time? And then you will be kicking yourself for-ev-er, while everyone else is meeting Kevin Costner or Meg Ryan or Bob Costas (Have I mentioned he so side-hugged me? It was a moment. I am sure he blogs about it too.) or Billy Crystal or someone way cooler than Milli Vanilli and you will so be all jealous of me cause I prepared.
Anyhoo, let's just say -- hypothetically speaking and all-- that you would be spending 6 months in a secluded, remote, far off land. Like far from civilization and all. But you had everything you needed to survive and survive comfortably-- like food, shelter, clothing, fire, underwear, silverware, toothpaste, toilet paper, etc. But there were no LUXURY items. What would you take?
Now here is the kicker cause this is my make-believe world and I can make up the rules. Although it is in the middle of NO WHERE, it still has wireless accessibility and electricity and stuff vital for mankind's survival.
So what THREE luxury items would you have to pack for 6 months? Your razor? Bubble bath? Coffee? TV? iphone? Camera? Down comforter? Toenail polish? Thousand thread count sheets? Bleach? Candles?
What would be your three luxury items you could NOT live without for 6 months? You can't pack people or a car to drive and get stuff....that is like wishing for more wishes -- completely unallowable. Again, in my make-believe world, I make up all kinds of rules.
I have 2 of my 3 items all figured out but I need your infinite wisdom to figure out my third. So let me know my BFF's.
What are your three items?

Mine would be...Red Wine, Laptop and iphone! I can only wish I was there for six months alone :)
sunscreen, chocolate and my hubby...he really is a luxury item....Ü
My laptop, my ipod and Starbuck Chocolate covered espesso beans.
Also a laptop, diet pepsi, and hmmmmm......6 months worth of chocolate.
Coffee for in the morning, Wine for the evening, and all Internet in between. I would actually trade the coffee for a bubble bath but my imagination just won't allow for being able to foam up and/or heat the entire Pacific ocean.
shampoo.
coffee w/coffeemate italian sweet creme. that would be considered one item, as in "the finished product". hey, if someone else can pick starbucks, then you have to let me have my homemade one!
bacon. cooked extra crispy, obviously.
these are the things i cannot live without.
hmm definately coffee, a neverending book (i cant read one over and over for six months, I just cant) and a laptop. I dont own a laptop so I would have to steal my husbands. but im ok with that.
WAIT! no! can i take my dog? hes just really fun. please? ill give up coffee for him...that is a GRAND gesture on my part!
Internet and access to a library.
And unlimited pizza
Assuming I have my laptop, the wireless gives me access to amazon.com for all the books I will ever need. (The postman will have to make his own way - I am counting on him.)
My iPod - and, see - I can download all the tunes I want, ad infinitum.
Fully supplied coffeemaker...
(Can I take my Bible, too?)
~Mad

Chapstik, Dr. Pepper and a Sophie Kinsella book
Laptop...no need for a phone, you can send a email.
Camera...sounds like a trip that you will need to take pictures for evidence....lots of pictures.
For sure a razor if that has to count as an item...assuming that soap doesn't have to be counted.
My computer, Germex and coffee with lots of yummy creamer!
I take that pile of books that I haven't gotten to, a Wii so I could get in some exercise, and a satellite phone with internet access so I could see if I'm gonna get blasted by a hurrican on my remote place. (oops..forgot the hubster) and do they have limes on that island so i can have mojitos cause they are a necessity!
did you say mojitos? and limes...i think we are long lost sisters...
I would have to have a book, gotta keep my mind schooled on some chic lit...my Ipod and laptop...are you sure we can only have 3 items???? What about my lip gloss??? It's small!
Well... since all the necessities are there... Hhmm.. My craft tote full of stuff... My computer and my camera... wait.. I hope there is a coffee shop somewhere on the island!
MMMMMMmmmmm...Starbux expresso roast beans with my burr grinder and rainspray drip coffee maker, filtered water and diet dr. Pepper (counts as one item - drink)
