This new home,in your new state, in your new time zone etc etc., won't be forever. (I think the military is known for that.) Just give it some more time. You'll make some friends, find a job, or whatever you want to do. I know all about that big pot of self pitty as I tend to wallow in it, alot, myself but just keep smiling and plugging away and eventually it will all work out! ((HUGS))

Oh, poor CG! I know how it feels. I am homesick and I am only 20 miles away! There is just nothing like the country. For two years I have lived in the suburbs...will I ever get used to it?

you go ahead and wallow in it, girl. ...and then tell yourself, ain't it great to have somewhere for which you can be homesick?

I 'm right there with ya! I was thinking the same thing today, I know we moved for a good reason (for my husbands job) and we are only two hours away and I was back there last weekend. I miss my job, my parents, my friends, going to wal mart and knowing everyone, and all my other family. There are days that I love it here and days where I would give anything to just go home. One of my BFF always tells me "That this to shall pass" and she is always right (Don't tell her!) however with me and wishes of home, it seems to come back.

I echo the comment before that it is so nice to have a place that is home that makes you miss it. Take from a girl who never lived in the same place for more than a year until I married, it hurts to not have a place to call home; to not have a place where you can drive your kids up and say "this is where momma ..." I love it that hubby shows the kids the hills that he drove his bike down in his neighborhood and talks about the first time he walked to school. I wish I had those. I went to the same high school for all 4 years and so I go to football games there and get so excited because that is what feels like home to me -- the school !! I'm a mess. H
