Unfortunately, She Has Me

Eldest Twerp turned 11 on Friday. And she has been BEGGIN for a portable gaming system. A good mother would have gone out and researched and shopped around and found the PERFECT gift for their child. Unfortunately, she has me.

Before I left for work I had put her fav meal in the crock pot -- roast, carrots, and potatoes. This makes me look like a wonderful thoughtful mother -- but this actually gave me time to wrap her presents.Wrap? Uhm...gift paper? bags? Anywhere? A good mother would have found the perfect paper with glitter and bows and cards and confetti. That is what a good mother would have done. Unfortunately, she has me. We are green. But I think all the inadequacies of her mother were forgotten when she saw this...
And then when she saw that it was the pink Nin DS...
Well, I think this face says it all...
And Middle Twerp was there to read all the directions...
And explain how a good mother would have gotten Dogz cause it was the most popular pet game according to the brochure.
But all the Twerps were able to say in unison, "Unfortunately, we have her."

This is what happens when your mom goes back to work -- look on the bright side, without my job, you would have gotten an Atari.

yes, the look on her face is priceless! and also, the part about "unfortunately we have her" I hardly think the Twerps said that, but the fact that you wrote it cracks me up!

Happy Birthday again ET!
