I Am Practically A Buddhist Monk

This is me pondering ~ deeply pondering the meaning of life. I am practical in a comatose state I am ponderin so so deeply. This is very typical me... hours on end contemplating life. Sitting still and becoming at one with the earth ~ contemplating all the hope, possibilities and potential of the new year. Yeah, that's me all right. I am practically a Buddhist monk - but with hair.

Okay, not really. I was totally joshin ya. Ha ha ho ho hee hee giggle giggle snort. Good one, huh?

This is actually me asking IJ to PUH LEEZ take me out for a night on the town. I had even shaved my legs. I am all classy like that and all.

Anyhoo. I have pondered. Kinda. Well, really more like "thought a little" and while I do not have any pics of the deep contemplation. I did it. Seriously. I have some results to prove it. I have my:
one. little. word.

I have chosen my one little word to guide and focus and navigate my year.

One little word. It had to be Defining. Absolute. Important. Lasered. Giving. Purposeful. I mean this was gonna have to last me a whole year. So it had to sum me up....and let me tell ya, that is hard to do.

Dr Pepper was too many words.

Lip gloss was too shallow.

Glitter was not thorough enough.

BFF was an acronym. And while I am not aware of any rules, I am most certain the council would not accept acronyms.

So after much thought and ponderin I chose my one. little. word. that would hopefully define my new year. Once I decided upon it, it was most certainly perfect. Once I decided upon it, it was most certain nothing else would do. Once I decided upon it, it was indeed most certain to guide me through 2009.

OTHERS.

Cause at the end of the day, that is what life is all about. Nuff said.I love you all,
Country Girl

it is a word you use a lot.

I wonder where you learned this thing, putting others first? who taught YOU to be that way? Your mom, your dad, ET? IJ? who, who, inspired you?

C'mon girl, give us the scoop. Cause we don't come by it naturally, so what was your epiphany, your shining moment, your big awakening? Tell us!
