ET's New Look

ET was wantin a new look -- a fresh start -- something to feel a little saucy about. So we took the old desk we couldn't GIVE away at the last garage sale and painted it -- We decided to let the whole family take a part in this little rendezvous. And let me just say -- a little paint never hurt anyone.
We didn't really plan on it, but kinda went with the distressed look the brush strokes provided. And at the end of the day -- I finished it up -- isn't that how it always ends up?Oh wait -- there in one who comes to save the day --
So in her room we threw together a little this and a little that and ....Viola!
A new look -- and the shells all came from her visits to the beach or gifts from her friends in Oklahoma -- so she enjoys the sentimental value... We also picked up this little table at the local thrift shop...
All in all -- I think our little remodel went a - okay! You?

It looks great! I love the color and the shabbiness of the brush strokes. A few years ago my mom and I painted some funky dark brown 70's nightstands white, which didn't cover them perfectly, and they looked shabby, but actually turned out pretty cool and I still use them today!
What would look cute now is a little floral seat cushion on that desk chair to tie in the bedding...
