How We Single Handedly Destroyed Millions of Years of Splunking

I am a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl. So when IJ recommended that I take the Twerps to a CAVE on the way home from the land that flows with milk and honey, I said SURE -- Why NOT? It will be fun, right?
Uhm, well -- let me paint this a different shade of disaster...
What can be worse than three kids locked away in a car on a road trip?
How about three twerps locked underground 300 feet below human existence for hours and told not to touch ANYTHING?
With all kinds of rare National Security stuff you can't touch within inches of my gentic offsprings' clutches and with one drop of grimy oil from my spawns' hands, millions of years of growth will come to a stand still and life as we know it will cease to exist. This is how vaca's should be spent.
So, can I just say for the record there is no longer one stalac-anything that will ever grow again in the cave systems of Tennessee.
All because of this spawn -- Amen.

The cave enthusiast almost pushed him in here.
So did his dad.

I can't breathe.

I am hyperventilating right now.

Ain't no way I could go in there. Not no way, not no how.

Wow this is awesome! There is a cave like this around SHASTA Lake in CA. and also one in HUNGARY that I went to called the Bears cave. These are so neat. I COULD actually live in these caves all year long. Perfect TEMPs. We are under a heat advisory until THursday night, but the way the weather men lie it might be till SUNDAY night! LOL

I have 3 children and I also have stopped at different locations after being in the car for a long time, hoping that the kids can burn off energy, only to be told no running, no talking, no touching. Yikes, how miserable for kids and parents. They need to put signs up along the interstate system, so you know not to stop a those places.

oh but their expressions... priceless. I can hear little evil laughs heee heee, hahahaha!

What do they seriously think the little indian boys who used to run through these caves never touched anything? What about bandits? Did the bandits never touch them? Or civil war soldiers, do you think they knew not to touch the stalctites or whatever?

I'm so sure! Okay maybe if the thousands or hundreds of visitors they get every year ALL touched them then we might have a national security problem on our hands, but one little touch from BT? No, I think we are all going to be just fine!

And your kids are going to remember it for a long time! I know meramac caverns is still one of my favorite family vacation trips ever!

And you will not believe this, but one of my bestest friends in real life is a cave guide's wife. And they are coming to visit this weekend. How many can say they actually know a real live cave guide? Don't be jealous now! I bet he agrees with me about this BT touching the caves thing.
