When my first son came home from the hospital, I thought I knew everything. I had read 4,692 books and if I did not know it, my daughter would clue me in.
When my first baby boy turned 4 months old, we decided to try some peas. I only did it because my daughter said it was time. I had no clue what I was doing. How hard could it be to open, insert food, and swallow? There was not even any chewing involved. It was all mashed up for him! Easy street, I tell you.
But I would shove that spoon in his mouth and the peas would come spewing out. I called Indiana Jones in tears. I had the baby from the Exorcist. It was like his head was spinning and that green stuff was flying everywhere. IJ calmed me down and assured me everything was fine. We went straight to the sink and washed off.
He is now three. I think we might try them again this week. I do not know if he is ready quite yet or not. What do you think?
