Let the Sunshine In

I love an eternal optimist. My daughter always believes the best. An inherited trait you say? Probably not...

So, I walked by her classroom at school the other day and noticed her desk had been moved. Instead of being a part of the group, her desk was isolated by the window. I made a mental note to inquire more about this once we were home.

While we were eating the proverbial meatloaf and green beans supper, I questioned the movement of desk placement.

"So I noticed your desk was moved by the window at school. Why do you think this is?"

"Well, the teacher said it was because I was talking too much. But I think she just wanted to place me in the sunshine."

What an optimist! Little twerp.

What a cutie!

When I was in Kindergarten, my desk was moved away from all the others for that same reasons.........only I wasn't put in the sunshine! sigh.....she moved me over beside bulletin board......where, since I couldn't speak to anyone, I had much fun decorating it for her with my own interpretation of what it should look like.
