Festival of the Arts

Downtown has an Arts Festival every year. I go because I embrace broadening my cultural horizons and exposing myself to diverse culture in an attempt to make myself a well rounded being. And the food is to die for. These are my peeps, my homeys, my posse, my comrades...
We have been through a lot together...births, divorces, surgeries, weddings, ingrown toenails, and we have stuck together through it all. Tami uses beer as a coping mechanism though. I completely understand. I don't judge ya girlfriend, you have way too much dirt on me. This is Lori...my all time BFF. She makes me do things I would normally NEVER do...like shower daily....I kid I kid. But nonetheless, when she is around....I find myself acting like a 4-year-old. Normally I am at least up to a 6-year-old skill set. She makes me digress. Need I say more?We ate, and ate, and ....ate. I gain 42.87 pounds and had to walk into my house sideways because my hips and thighs are now the size of the piece of cheesecake I ate. See what I mean about Lori? She causes us to do strange things. Why would we ever just kiss a lamb? Or is it a Lama? I feel so used. Then we danced to Survivor Man. I loved this guy. I wanted to give it a try, but he would not let me. I think he thought I had cooties. Don't ask....It was Lori again. Then I spotted across the crowd Rod Stewart. I screamed and squealed like I was in sixth grade seeing The New Kids on the Block. He casually walked over and asked if I wanted my pic taken with him. Well, OF COURSE! (Has anyone noticed that when I smile, my eyes disappear?)
Then he kissed my friend. I felt so used and rejected. I thought we had something! Ah, I love these girls. You all are the best!

I guess lots of towns have downtown festivals like this around this time. We have a weekend festival going on downtown right now. But you guys got Rod Steward, we got.... Eddie Money, ha! Glad you had fun! I'm off to go see what my town has to offer.
