Road Trips and Angels

East bound and down.
Loaded up and truckin.

After spending the night in Tupelo, MS we are back in the car and east bound. Well, actually we are not IN the car right now. Cause I cried and made Indiana Jones stop at McDonald's so I could blog. He gave me "the look" but I batted my eyelashes. And when that did not work I told him I had diarrhea and HAD TO GO. It worked. Don't judge me. I am addicted to bloggin.

And I had all these "GREAT" (relatively speaking...if your standards aren't that high...and mine aren't) pics to post. But McDonald's is taking too long to upload my "GREAT PICS" so you will get these instead.
Some people in our family have a hard time waking up in the morning. This must come from his paternal mother's first cousin's sister's side.
Cause I am chipper at all times. As soon as my feet hit the floor....well kinda.

Whatever....Mr. Military Wake Up At 5 AM Everyday. Some would scream child labor laws when they see this. I say, HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A SWEAT SHOP? Don't complain. I kid. I kid.
REAL TIME STORY....
So as I was bloggin and playin with the Twerps at McDonald's, this elderly gentleman who appeared to have had a rough life, came up to me and started asking about my twerps. He then told me about how he had six kids with his wife...three boys, three girls...and then she left him cause he had a baby with a married woman. He would suggest not doing that.

He then told me about how he saw the baby boy once when he was two and a half and when he sobers up he is gonna find him and do the right thing. Then he wiped his eyes as I smelled the alcohol on his breath at 9 am. Well, I for one believe he can do it. Actually, I know he will. What a sweet soul. I am praying for him as he walks away.

and you are a sweet soul yourself for finding compassion at 9am for a person who maybe shouldn't be drinking. poor man. i know he'll find his happiness, however and wherever that happens.

So, with three twerps and two adults, do you get two rooms or do you manage to cram into one?

Good reminder--there is a lot more going on in someone's heart than we can see on the outside-or smell, for that matter

That's a very sad, sweet story. Maybe seeing you and your twerps was a turning point for him. I hope so.

that kinda stuff only happens to you.

"he would suggest not doing that."

Maybe I lived too long in a crappy part of town as a child with way too many devil dancers (drug addicts) but dudes like that freak me out. Kudos to you for not running away fast and listening to that poor man. Since my weenie ass would have grabbed my child and run. Of course the need for wi fi may have made me stay. Blogging is a bad addiction isn't it?
