Dance Dance Dance the Night Away

Eldest Twerp had her first school dance tonight. And let me tell you, it is like a whole different kid than 6 months ago. And I am loving every minute of it.But not as much as I was loving...
The Cotton Eyed Joe
And YMCA...
And the limbo... THE LIMBO...
I could barely hold myself back.....
My toes were tappin, my hiney was wigglin and I was dancing on the inside...
But I showed maturity and restraint...until...
The cha cha slide...then it was all over....I could contain the dancer within no longer...But ET was totally okay with it. I think. Probably. More than likely. I am sure. Amen.

Love the PJ's! Would have been my choice exactly. Glad you had a good time. Looks like a lot of fun, but when you are rusted up like I am, the dancin days are long gone. Somebody get the oil can, I think I might take up dancin again. It looks like soooo much fun! Way to go ET.

That is beyond cute! We never had pajama dances growing up...I want one now. *invokes dance party rule for tomorrow night* WOOOO!

BTW...she's going to be kissing boys soon. There, I said it. I know, I'm pure evil. :)

What an awesome girl ET is for allowing her mother to tag along! Fun dance....in your jammies, now why didn't we have dances like that in school???

Cha-cha slide, huh? That is a downfall of mine too!

I have a hard time restraining myself too. One time I went out on the dance floor to dance with Manga Dork...I kicked off my shoes...and she went running for the other side of the room! I was so embarrassed. We have also been so close and this was my first parental rejection from her...I cried myself to sleep that night...because I am a big baby!

That's wonderful she's having a great time with all her new friends! I know what you mean about holding back......wanting to dance! When my sister's oldest got married a few yrs back we had a blast at the reception. It was the best ever!! Downtown Chicago, live band (horns, great singers, etc) They played everything but their Outkast(sp?) was the best!! WM, Keli, Uncle Trixie, the sisters(my wonderful twin neices!) to the bride and myself held back for awhile but it DOES just come over you! We tore the dance floor up!!! well not to mention the bride and groom and their weddiing party were fantastic dancers and it was really all about them!!! lol

PS everytime I look in my mom's cabinet in my kitchen I see my s&p collection I think
