My Long Lost Love Song

Okay, do you have a song that you have completely forgotten about but you love it...you need it...you have missed it? Well, I guess if you have completely forgotten about it, you would not be able to remember it right now. Wow, that was about as deep as I can get.

Anyhoo, I was on my way to work this morning and due to the fact that my ipod battery is dead, I was scanning the radio (it stays on scan more than a specific channel) and it happened. I heard the intro. And my heart melted. Cause my long lost lover song came on. And I forgot how much I have missed him....Oh how I big pink fuzzy heart with glitter LOVE this song:

What is the song that does it for you? What is that rare song you hardly ever hear, but when you do it TOTALLY makes your skirt fly up (sorry mom, but it is true)?

I love you all just the way you are!

That's so funny,I love the song -Brandy! I had added it(and others) to my playlist over the weekend. Nice to meet another "Brandy" lover. My girlfriends and I used to know all the words, we'd play it at every party(ummm, back in the 80's!)

That is totally my favorite song...ask anyone who knows me!

I really like the Kenny Chesney version the best.

That was one of the first songs hubby and I danced to....

I forgot and then you reminded me of my favorite love song! I love "LOVE" and this song says it all for me!!! (you can search this online and hear it - your heart can melt like mine)

The song is "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden.

Here are the lyrics:

I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do..
I will be strong I will be faithful
'Cos I'm counting on a new beginning.
A reason for living.
A deeper meaning.

I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me...

And when the stars are shining brightly
In the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish
Send it to heaven
Then make you want to cry..
The tears of joy
For all the pleasure and the certainty.
That we're surrounded
By the comfort and protection of..
The highest power.
In lonely hours.
The tears devour you..
I want to stand with you on a mountain,
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever,
Until the sky falls down on me...

Oh can't you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes
'Cos it's standing right before you.
All that you need will surely come...

I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do...

It's so hard for me to pick just one favorite...'cause then I feel bad for the others...but my top five (in no particular order) are:

1. Ambrosia: How Much I Feel

2. Bread: Lost Without Your Love

3. Barry Manilow: Weekend In New
England

4. Ambrosia: You're The Only Woman

5. Burt Bacharach: This Guy's In
Love With You

Love that song! I would have to say I Need You by America! Love the 60's & 70's stuff!
