That's How Much I Love You

On the way to Pre K this morning Middle Twerp was sitting in the backseat jabberin away. He would break out into song everyonce in awhile over the most random events, "There is a tree with a bear at the top in a Spiderman scarf. Way to go bear. Mmmm huh. Mmmmm huh."

It was almost like being high in an off-Broadway musical. I would guess. Cause I have never been high, nor surprisingly enough, ever in an off-Broadway music either. Yet. (To the musical part, not the high part. Just clarifyin and all.)

Anyhoo, this is the actual conversation to this morning's commute. I know now, more than ever, how much Middle Twerp loves me. In his own way.

As I am blowing my nose...

"Mom, I wish you were a monster so you would have no snot."

"Wow, well thank you Middle Twerp ... I think."

"And if I were an eagle and you were a monster, I would swoop down and sit on your shoulder and pick all the bugs off your fur."

"Ah, thank you sweetheart."

"And then I would go kill a turkey for you so you could eat its blood and guts and all. That's how much I love you!"

"Well, if only I were a monster I would love to eat that turkey."

About 3 minutes of silence follows. Then....

"Hey mom, do we have any arrows?"

God bless little boys (they need it especially)! My own precious boy, upon being reassured that the dark is NOT scary, with his night light on and Jesus watching and taking good care of him, asked, "Jesus has a gun to kill the bad guys?" This does NOT reflect on what kind of mother I am. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.
