Class Reunion

I came home to the land that flows with milk and honey for my 15 year high school reunion. This is the first one I have attended -- cause at my 10 year I had just had Middle Twerp and I was still in the stages of lack of sleep and diapers and deliria. Kinda. I just could not make the trip with a newborn nor could I bear to leave him ... so I stayed at home and burped a baby...in my jammies - that I had not taken off for months. Please don't judge me.Anyhoo -- seeing everyone made me homesick. These people understand me. We speak the same language. Know the same stories. They have seen me with my mall hair. Pegged their pants with me and still love me just the way I am. I think. But here are some of the peeps. The ones I cheered with. Had crushes on. Smelled their arm casts. Swam in their pool. And listened to their stories. And I tell you the truth -- there is no better group of people out there. Period. They are the best.
And this girl was always one of the sweetest out there -- and just look at what she brought along with here that was edible.
Oh heaven help my fallopian tubes. Be still my beating ovaries. Settle down my sweet uterus. Heaven help me.
But in listening to their stories and hearing where they are and where they have come from -- my appreciation and love for them all grew stronger. Some were battling cancer. Some were recovering from loss, some were missing -- left us way too early in life....way too young.
But most of all, I left grateful. Thankful that I was blessed enough to knows this group. To have them rub off on me. To be a part of me. I am so so blessed.
And I am not coming home. You can't make me. Amen.

all you girls sitting shoulder to shoulder look like you could be sisters. I swear it!

I have never gone to my reunion. Next year is my 30th! I should start dieting now!

I know I already hit this topic on FB, but happy birthday Country Girl!

That made me cry! I have been out of schol for 12 years, and we have not had a reunion. Looks like you came from a very small school like I did. Pre-k-12 all in the same building. We had 22 in our graduating class!
