Ain't God Good To Give Us So Many Blessings Undeserving, That's What We Are

Today we went to meet Middle Twerp's Kindergarten teacher and Baby Twerp's Pre K teacher. And can I just say I needed some good news. I needed them both to LOVE their new school and their teachers. Cause I was not about to undergo weeks of wailing and gnashing of teeth like last year. No siree Bob.
Eldest Twerp helped me take them into school today -- and BT was IN A MOOD. And we were scared. Oh sweet heavenly Jesus ... PLEASE. I had waaaayyy too much on my plate. Our after-school nanny had ditched us last week and decided to go be a missionary in China. Uh, exsqueeze me? China? Seriously? Watching my kids is like a mission trip and I will order Kung Pao chicken everyday if you will stay. Ironically, she still left. I told my Twerps I was trading them in for Asian babies. We arrived at school cold, hungry and nannyless. And as soon as we walked in MT's Kindergarten class things seemed to look up. His theme this year is SHARKS and DOLPHINS. Oh hello lover of MT's soul. Now your cooking with bacon! She was speakin his love language. And she was bringing her pet gecko the first day of school. As we sat down and chatted, She had her niece in the room helping and MT immediately took to her. She sat and read to him and played birds and helped him spell. She was in college for early childhood and just loved to be around kids, so she volunteered. She was looking for a nanny job. Oh pump the breaks! Thank you Lord Jesus. Next we were on to BT's class. He was already cryin and throwing a fit. It wasn't pretty. We walked in and his room was themed FROGS. They even have a pet frog. He was just fine. After about 10 minutes he looked over at me and said, "Okay you can leave now. PreK is ready for me to stay." Then they challenge was having him leave. But I'll take that any day.

PS Eldest Twerp enrolled in MIDDLE SCHOOL last night and found her locker and her homeroom and saw that her BFF is in her HOMEROOM and squealed. Any my camera battery was dead. Please call Child Protective Services. I deserve it. Amen.

So glad all is well with the twerps. It's not a fun thing to hate school, especially for mom:)

but what about the frog fearing girls in BT's class? I would have been scared to death of school if there were frogs staring at me all day!

Oh I guess that is not your problem to solve. lol!

I'll tell you something though, seeing those little boys looking all grown up with their back pack son, *sniff sniff* it is too much!

So glad everything went well! That is the day I'm going to hate - when my baby has to start school. Granted it's still about 5/6 years away....but still.
