What Outfit?

Hey it's ET. Me and my mom went went school shopping today and we had a BLAST. We went to Justice, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Aeropostale, etcAnd my mom made me try on EVERYTHING. To tell you the truth it was a little annoying. But she bought me lots of cute stuff and now I am having a little trouble deciding what to wear for the first day of school. Basically, I need some help. Can you help a girl out? I have 8 outfits and I think they are all pretty -- let me know what you think.

#1 - This says country girl meets city life. I like it.
#2 - This says "Look at me, All American Girl" And I think it makes me look older.
#3 - This says Ready for action. I like this color of green -- very in now. At least I think. #4 - This is colorful and says "Painted and colorful -- just like me. "#5 - Carefree and summery
#6 -- COMFORTABLE -- plaid but cute.
#7 -- LOVE these pants. On rainy days it I can stay high and dry.
#8 - Maybe a little too hot for August, but nice and warm. Cozy as I like to say.

Now I know clothes don't make the person, but the person makes the clothes. But clothes are still cute and I want the clothes on the first day of school to look good and I don't want to pick the wrong pair. I mean this is middle school. And kids might think differently about me. But I still want to be me.

So, I am asking you help to pick your favorite outfit. Or if you have a girl in your house about my age (or older) then ask her if you get a chance or aren't too busy.

Thanks for your comments on my mother's blog and for helping me on this important first day of middle school.

Bamboo Growin Girl (Let me know if you get that),

I'm liking #4, 5, and 6, but I think 6 is my favorite. Very bright and fun. Good luck with school!

Dear ET,
I am new to your mom's blog AND you are my first comment. I don't know you but suspicion that your personality is most like #4 and #6. Those are my votes.

First day of school clothes were always important to my children when they were in school. Shopping with my daughter is still fun even though she is older.

Happy First Day!
TJ

Oh, I like them all, but my fav is #4 and #7--wear 4 on the first day and 7 on the second! Your little dress is cute how about a cute white shirt for underneath and you could wear the shirt under your super cute green shirt--buttoned down a couple. Hey, I have a son who is going to be in middle school too--he is not here tonight or I would ask him to vote. Maybe I will ask him tomorrow and you could get a future middle school boys perspective?

I like #4 and #6 the best.. I'll ask my 13 year old, 8th grade daughter tomorrow (she's asleep right now) and will let you know her thoughts too :) Great clothes by the way!

Do you mean you are growing as fast as bamboo grows?

I like outfit #4 but *YOU* make all the outfits look cute!

Hey little sista! I like number 1 or number 3, but I'm a total country girl and 32 years old so that could be why! My daughter is 10 and she's not here but I'll ask her when she gets back from granny bob and pop pop's house! You are beautiful!

Bamboo shoots I say #1 but add a choker necklace or whatever you call it. You know the kind everyone buys at the beach. But what do I know! Middle school or jr high as we called it in Illinois was 30 years & 115 lbs ago

I like #4 or #5 for day one and #2 for day two. I never wanted to look too eager on the first day. #4 and #5 look like eh, summer is still in your head.

I like #1 for your first football game day and #7 is cute and comfy looking, too.
they are all cute.

Mix up that green plaid outfit with some totally unexpected accessory to knock down the matchy look.

Most of all, be wary of whom you ask for fashion advice. I have no idear what I am talkin' about. I thought Mom jeans were still in! ha ha!

bamboo growin' girl, means you are shooting up fast! like bamboo in the forest. which is fast, very fast. tall and lean, like bamboo. you are so lucky!

and be true to yourself ET! Love, Dana

I would say number 4 but I would check the length of the skirt to make sure it fits in with that lovely middle school dress code. If that doesn't work I would pick number 5 or 7. I hope you have a great first day. I work in a middle school and love kids your age!

As the mother of 3 girls who did ALL of their school clothes shopping at Aeropostale, here's our opinion. My 9 yr old suggested #1, my 10 yr old said #6 and my 14 yr old and myself want #5. Whatever you decide, they are all adorable!

I like #4,5, and 7 depending on the weather. Cute duds:)

Number 4 has my vote with #7 as a close second. HOWEVER, anything you wear will pale in comparison to the inner beauty I know you will wear! : )
