Bathtub Adventures

So we were done for the night. Ready to bring everyone in and take a bath. This may sound like a simple night time ritual, but for a mother with 2 boys under the age of 3, this can be daunting to say the least. It takes teamwork. We are a well-oiled machine, at times. Indiana Jones grabs the boy and begins undressing him, my daughter grabs the baby and pulls him kicking and screaming into the bathroom, I begin the bathwater and undress the baby. Once we throw them into the tub we breath a sigh of relief. Bath time corralling has been successful and they are penned up!

We were all gloating in our bath time success and went to begin picking up some while to bathtub filled and the games began. I, like the good mother that I am, went back to check on my babies no more than 2 minutes later and my 3-year-old boy was nowhere to be found. It was unusual for him to get out of the bathtub because this would mean he could lose possession of the valuable bath toy of the day. We searched the house and he was nowhere to be found. Under the bed? No. In the closet? No. In the playroom? No. Then we saw it. In complete horror. the outside door was open...

My son had forgotten to put his truck away. How responsible is he? Look at my boy. He is growing up. Now this will not be an okay scenario when he is 16, but for now it is precious!

I mean all good men put their trucks away at the end of the day. He has learned a valuable lesson. Tomorrow we will work on clothing attire.
