My Evening

Okay..so I have a weakness. Well, I have forty-eleven weakness; but for now, I only focus on one. One very sick deeply rooted weakness. One that I has always hidden in the shadows, but now it is time for it to come out of the closet.

This...this is the shoes I cleaned out of my closet last night. The ones I no longer wear, or bought in a weak insure moment...or when I thought kitten heels would be the new rage. And now, I am in purge mode....so these are off to the Goodwill.
And for a moment...for just one brief second...I almost could not do it. See those precious red patent peek-a-boo toe slings? Oh how sweet are they?? And those silver and brown woven stilettos. Hello Lover. And the deep red chunky square-toe boots....Oh we had such good times together. It is hard to just throw them out and not know who they will go to. Anyone wear a 6? I can mail them if you promise to take good care of them. And love them and hug them and call them George. Or Hore-Hey..if it floats your boat.

I don't even own that many pairs of shoes, let alone, be getting rid of that many! LOL

You had me from hello.....but this, this seals the deal. I don't know of any other 'friends' I have who could purge themselves of such an eclectic collection of shoes and not have to leave home bare-footed. And I don't know of anyone else who loves the Juno sound track and all your other eclectic mix of music like I do. You make me laugh and somewhere back in the 80's I'm sure we teased our hair and did the 'Get out of the kitchen' cheer together.

i keep coming back to gaze upon those red patent peep toe sling backs.

the ones that aren't a size 8. =/

Darn, too bad there's no one in our fam that can wear a size 6! Love the brown and silver! Are you sure you're not my daughter? I don't think the gene was passed to Marchelle. I was pushing almost 50 pairs of shoes when I married her dad. Needless to say that # dropped drastically over the years.
Love reading your blog!

Oh my! How can you part with these precious things? I *cough* have to admit I have about two closets full of shoes myself, *cough*, but could never get rid of such beautiful specimens. Ever. Sigh.
I do wear a size 6, but I live far, far away, so I hope they'll make someone very happy some day! Now you have me all choked up...

I shop in the easy spirit section of the shoe store these days.

If I could wear shoes like those, though, I would!

i find it interesting that no one has commented on the black pump in the front row....did you find it's mate?...it looks lonely =D

my daughter and i are shoe fanatics also. nothing spells fun like a good shoe shopping excursion. =D

Wait a tic. Isn't one of your shoes missing its mate or am I just seeing things. Three black shoes with fuschia insoles.....

I know its hard to let go, but I also get a high from having a neat and organized closet. However I 'am a little ocd, all my hangers have to match, everything has to hang in the same direction and everything is organized by season and color. (yes, I know I need help) Have ya thought about a yard sale? I recently had one, was not a huge one, but made 350.00. the fun part was seeing who got what and seeing a lot of women getting excited about what they were getting.

You are just the sweetest thing to be willing to one give up these adorable shoes and two to mail them to individuals who promise to take care of them and love them and squeeze them.
My daughter wears a 6 and if she even saw this she would be hacking into my computer to get to them. :-)
